When it comes to juicing I’m a relatively new convert, only in the sense that I have previously forgone juices due to their usual high fruit content. Since the explosion of the juice bar scene however, I find myself able to pick up a completely veggie based delight on every street corner. I know that others will be as less die hard as me when it comes to ingredient choice which is where I think the wonderful, naturally sweet veggies such as beetroot & carrots really shine. This blend is all about giving our Liver a bit of extra support and as such the chosen ingredients all have particularly helpful components to bring to the table. Beetroot contains betaine which promotes bile production, ginger increases antioxidant enzyme production, turmeric is so powerful it can reverse liver disease, kale brings sulphur for optimised detoxification ability and the cucumber, lime and celery are wonderfully fresh and hydrating.

I always suggest using organic ingredients where possible but with juicing this is heightened as we are looking to get optimum nutrients from these guys. Don’t discard the pulp either; use to make soups, bean pates or crackers!
