Why do we love the golden wonder of turmeric so much?

Turmeric has long been heralded as the panacea for all due to its ability to dampen inflammatory processes in the body. Whole turmeric root/fresh juice should always be your gold standard.

Also, raw chocolate offers additional layers of antioxidants, heart health support & mood enhancement.

So these little golden eggs will pack a punch of nutritious goodness.

Recipe makes 4 eggs.

Key Facts

  • Healthy sweet treats
  • Easter foods
  • Rich in antioxidants
  • Dairy free

Ingredients

  • 75g cacao butter
  • 4.5 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 scoop collagen (I get mine from Planet Paleo)
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 turmeric shot (I get mine from the Turmeric Co. but you can also make your own by mixing raw turmeric root with fresh lemon juice)

Preparation

01

Place your moulds in the freezer.

02

Melt the cacao butter then whisk in the cacao, collagen & maple syrup. Leave to cool for 5 minutes. Add a layer to your cold moulds, it will harden quickly. Pop back in the freezer for 2 minutes. Repeat 3-4 times to progressively build up a shell.

03

Mix the tahini & turmeric shot in a bowl until smooth.

04

Fill your egg shells, seal with chocolate & freeze for 10 minutes at least.
