Also known as molten lava cake. Would you believe that this delicious, super easy, chocolate fondant cake can be part of a balanced diet? 

Serve it straight from the oven to enjoy its gooey centre!

Ingredients

  • 30g dark chocolate (I use Vivani Chocolate or Before Chocolate)
  • 100ml milk (coconut or dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon ground almonds or coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 teaspoons melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 30g grass fed whey protein
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional - 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 170°C. Lightly grease & line 4 ramekins.

Warm the milk and chocolate in a pan to melt. Whisk together, remove from heat, and add the butter and maple syrup.

Combine dry ingredients. Pour into the wet mix, whisk then beat in the egg.

Bake for 8 mins. That’s it!
