Mint Choc Chip Smoothie

High protein, high fibre smoothie with courgette, peas, avocado, cacao powder, and peppermint

This is a gentle increase in terms of fibre but with avocado which also gives extra creaminess. This is a great choice for added fibre but won't cause bloating.

Remember to make your smoothies thick & spoonable, with an element of texture so you have to chew. This triggers your satiety response but also prevents bloating by switch on the digestive system.

Ingredients

  • 150g frozen courgette
  • 50g frozen peas
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 serving protein powder (equal to 30g protein)
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 2 drops peppermint essential oil or extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cacao nibs

Preparation

Blend everything except the nibs, then pulse these in for the chips.
