This is another great smoothie to phase in with & also lovely if you crave something a little sweet as it delivers on this but with no negative impacts on blood sugar.

Remember to make your smoothies thick & spoonable, with an element of texture so you have to chew. This triggers your satiety response but also prevents bloating by switch on the digestive system.

Ingredients

  • 150g steamed/roasted & the frozen squash
  • 50g frozen courgette
  • 1 serving protein powder (equal to 30g protein)
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

Blend & serve topped with 1 tablespoon of nut butter/tahini & a handful of toasted coconut chips or walnuts.
