I love to start my day with a smoothie for a couple of reasons. Number 1 it is possibly the quickest way to get something onto the table in the morning. Number 2 the combinations are literally endless & you can experiment with absolutely anything and everything (sometimes leading to slightly odd results!).
From a nutritional perspective smoothies are absolute winners as well, I can easily get 6-8 portions of fresh produce into my body before I even left the house, including some things you may not necessarily think to eat raw.
For this particular blend I was looking to harness some of the naturally medicinal power of fresh herbs so I have paired beautifully zingy basil, the vibrant citrus notes of parsley and the sumptuous decadence of Motion Nutrition’s vegan peanut protein powder.
